Troops of 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army Capture 2 Terrorists, Rescue Lost Schoolgirl in Taraba.

Soldiers from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke successfully apprehended two terrorists in a fierce shootout at Geshi Village, Taraba State in a daring operation.

This is contained in a statement signed by LT.ONI OLUBODUNDE
Lieutenant,Acting Assistant Director,6 Brigade Army Public Relations and a copy available to The Reporters on Sunday.

He said the operation, conducted on July 11, 2024, also saw the recovery of two motorcycles used by the criminals.

According to him,the troops, deployed in Donga Local Government Area, acted swiftly on intelligence reports, engaged the armed terrorists and forced them to flee into the bush wounded, where two were captured.

LT. OLUBODUNDE also disclosed that in a separate incident, troops on patrol in Jalingo found 9-year-old Dorothy Kwatsumen wandering alone in her school uniform.

He said after initial efforts to locate her guardians failed, she was taken to Brigade headquarters, eventually, she was reunited with her family after coordination with local authorities and her school.

The Commander of 6 Brigade,
Brig. Gen. Kingsley Uwa praised the troops for their bravery and reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Taraba State residents.
