The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has given approval for the appointment of Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the next Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. She is slated to take up her new role on August 14, 2024.

This is contained in a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson in Abuja on Wednesday.

Mrs. Walson-Jack will succeed Dr. (Mrs.) Folasade Yemi-Esan, who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.

Ngelale recalled that Mrs. Walson-Jack had previously served as a Federal Permanent Secretary since her appointment in 2017, adding she has worked in various Ministries.

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Dr. Yemi-Esan for her service and urged Mrs. Walson-Jack to approach her new responsibilities with innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the established regulations of the Civil Service of the Federation.
