Kogi loses Senator,govt.mourns.

Alex Kadiri, who represented Kogi East Senatorial District in the Senate between 1999 and 2007 has died ,aged 82.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the state government described the deceased as a distinguished patriot who was passionate about the development of the state and Nigeria at large.

Fanwo noted that the late political and community leader was a constant voice for equity, justice and development, exuding the proper Kogi spirit of excellence in his public and private life.

“The Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo,has expressed his determination to immortalize the spirit of the late Dr. Kadiri by ensuring good governance, unity and development in our dear state,” the commissioner said.
