Democracy Day:Summit University,Offa Democratizes STEM fields.

As Nigerians mark the 2024 Democracy Day on Wednesday,the management of Summit University,Offa in Kwara state say they are conscious of the challenges that females encounter in male-dominated STEM fields and ready to offer lasting solution.

This is contained in a statement from the office of the Vice Chancellor of the university,Prof. Musa Aibinu in Offa on Wednesday and a copy available available to The Reporters, the university

The Vice Chancellor wrote;”Though the journey can be daunting, We draw comfort from the trailblazers who have gone before us and the hope of a brighter future for those who will come after.

“At Summit University, Offa, (SUN, Offa), Kwara State, Nigeria, we reaffirm our commitment to equality and empowering every individual to thrive, regardless of gender, race, religion, or colour. Definitely, our sacrifices are the seeds for a more inclusive future.

“Participate in our mission to democratize STEM by empowering females in these fields through joining the AI4FS project at Summit University. Offa, Kwara State. Learn more about the project by watching our video at https://youtu.be/HmvUdk-RQgY?si=48kthSKBFWkFMrPm.

“As part of our democratization efforts, we offer partial and fully funded scholarship opportunities for both males and females in several of our STEM programmes at SUN, Offa.
