Benúe: Alia to lead Democracy Day walk.

Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benúe State to lead a solidarity walk in commemoration of the 2024 Democracy Day Celebration on Wednesday.

The 2024 Democracy solidarity walk is put together by the National Democracy Stakeholders Group (NDSG), and will take place concurrently across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, Abuja.

A statement by his Principal Special Assistant on Media, Publicity and Communications Strategic, Bridget Tikyaa, indicates that the essence of the walk, according to NDSG, is to bring together citizens from all walks of life to celebrate the spirit of democracy and reflect on its enduring importance.

The Democracy walk in the state would be led by the governor, supported by his deputy, the Speaker of state House Assembly, the State Chief Judge, Appointees and other esteemed citizens.

The walk will commence at the main Gate of the Benue State Government House, Makurdi, on Wednesday, by 07:00am, and terminate at the IBB Square, Makurdi.
