Former Kogi governor, Idris, loses son, Yahaya Bello expresses shock, offers condolences.

Former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, CON, has expressed deep sorrow at the unexpected demise of former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris, who tragically passed away on April 10th.

This is contained in a statement from Media Office of His Excellency, Yahaya Bello, CON a copy of which is made available to The Reporters on Thursday in Lokoja.

Late Mohammed Idris, who served as the representative for Olomaboro, Ankpa, and Omala Federal Constituency from to 2011 to 2015, was the son of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.

Bello fondly remembers the late lawmaker as a progressive politician and a proud ambassador of the state, who navigated the political landscape with fairness and integrity.

“Yahaya Bello extends his heartfelt condolences and words of solace to the grieving father, former Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, emphasizing that Mohammed lived a life of peace and served as a shining example for others to follow.

“While urging the family to find comfort in Mohammed’s impactful legacy, Bello prays to Allah to grant the departed soul eternal peace. He also asks for divine strength for both the immediate and extended families to endure this profound loss,’according to the statement.
