The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, has ordered water-tight security across the State before, during, and after the celebrations.
The Commissioner gave the order in a statement signed by SP. William Ovie Aya,the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Police Command in the state and a copy available to The Reporters on Tuesday.
He further ordered all the Divisional Police Offices, their Supervisory Area Commanders, Tactical and Operational Commanders to beef up security within their Area of Responsibilities
According to the CP, the officers must also ensure massive deployment of patrol Teams along the major highways and undercover operations to Black Spots, Flashpoints, and other Vulnerable criminal spots.
This the police added was to nip in the bud, all forms of crimes and criminality across the State, and to make sure that detection of crimes is prompt to serve as an effective deterrent to all criminals.
The CP reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other Security Agencies as well as Critical Stakeholders in ensuring the safety of lives and property.
The CP,who felicitated with the Muslims in the state,urged the good people of the State to continue to collaborate with the Security Forces with prompt and credible information on the activities of criminals to curtail their acts.
