Judicious allocation of state’s resources for development of kogi,my goal–Ododo.

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has assured the people of the state that he would ensure judicious allocation of state’s resources towards its development and improve the welfare of local government workers and pensioners.
This is contained in a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Oladele John NIHI with a copy available to The Reporters on Sunday in Lokoja.
According to Nihi, Governor Ododo gave the assurance while receiving Omala Stakeholders who were on a courtesy visit to him in his private office in Abuja.
Ododo, who called for unity of the citizens of the state to ensure “an egalitarian Kogi State”, emphasized the need to prioritize forward-thinking governance over the ephemeral sentiments of past elections.
On insecurity in the state, the Governor pledged to proactively nip in the bud, challenges afflicting Omala Local Government Area with plan to visit to Omala, to gain firsthand insight into the security of its landscape and foster closer ties with the community.
He commended Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, Director General of Protocol, and Hon. Umar Yahaya, Omala’s House of Representatives member, for their steadfast support towards his administration.

Ododo urged them to extend the solidarity to Hon.Edibo Ameh, the Caretaker Chairman of Omala LGA, to further promote community progress.
Earlier, Hon.Yahaya had extended congratulations, on behalf of his constituents,to the Governor over his election victory.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for appointing Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim as Director General of Protocol and for the support that facilitated the appointment of Hon. Mark Edibo as Caretaker Chairman of the local government and pledged further support towards the Governor’s visions and goals.
Highlights of the visit were the presentation of kola nuts to the Governor by HRH, Chief Paul Achor Edibo, Ogohi Akpacha and Acting Chairman of Omala Local Government Traditional Council while
Hon.Yahaya peresented a communique, regarding the security situation in Omala, to the governor.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Barrister Momodu Deedat Ozigi, also attended the occasion and was appointed by the Governor as Chairman of a Committee to study the report submitted at the event.
Royal Fathers, the Caretaker Chairman of Omala Local Government, Hon. Mark Edibo and other critical stakeholders were also in attendance.
