Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore sets for launch of Vigilante group in Nasarawa .

Worried by the spate of insecurity in Nasarawa state, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulafia Socio Cultural Association, says it is set to launch a Vigilante group to complement the activities of the conventional security in the state.
The National president of the Association, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, announced this during the launch of the Nomad Vigilante Group in Nasarawa State on Tuesday.
Our correspondent recals that on November 2, 2023, the association announced its commitment to supporting the Federal Government in its fight against the escalating security challenges across the country.
According to Bodejo, in a statement signed by the association’s Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Tasiu, the quasi-security outfit would fish out criminals among cattle herders in the community, reduce increase allegation against those treated for crimes not committed because of the infiltration of the bad eggs among it members.
“The 2,140-man vigilante group is to complement the efforts of conventional security agencies in addressing insecurity and promote peaceful coexistence in Nasarawa State”, Bodejo stated.
Bodejo, who holds the title of Lamido Fulbe, stressed the need for additional security measures to ensure the safety of residents, adding that ” it is in this regard that we are coming up with the 2, 140 strong man vigilante group in Nasarawa state”.
He further revealed that the launch had been scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the City Square in Lafia, Nasarawa state Capital at 11 am
The association also indicated that an invitation had been extended to the governor of the state,Engr. Abdullahi Sule and other top government officials, stakeholders as special guests, while Prominent Fulbe personalities in the state have also been invited to participate in the historic occasion.
