Governor Bello gives automatic employment to late ex-commissioner’s wife.

The kogi state governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has announced automatic employment for Mrs Yahaya,the wife of the late ex-Commissioner for Special duties in the state,Isnaila Adesayo Yahaya.
The governor,who made the announcement on the sideline of the first matriculation ceremony for 1,004 students of the newly established state-owned university,kabba on Tuesday, added that the employment would commence after the beneficiary must have mourned her husband’s death after a prescribe period.

Bello also revealed that the state government would give all the children of the deceased, scholarship up to the first degree level.
The governor, who said that he got the news of the death of Ismaila, on his way to the occasion and that he learned that he slumped and died,expressed shock over unfortunate incident.
The governor, who noted that perhaps,Ismaila should not have died in such way, however, stressed the need for people to always go for medical check,up to know their health status.
“We should not have lost Ismaila,he stressed .
According to him, the state government has adequate healthcare institutions equipped with adequate personnel and facilities, to take care of the health of people, citing the reference hospital in Okene and among others to buttress his point.

Commenting on the occasion, Bello said the establishment of the state university, kabba, was one of his ambitions when he made up his mind to contest for the governorship position of the state.
He said that while kogi west senatorial district is noted to have the highest number of professors from the state, the district had no university, hence the need for such higher institution in the area.
The governor,who expressed delight that the university admitted students from the six geo-political regions of the country, apart from the state,ordered that their application fees be refunded to them.
He advised the students to be committed to their studies to ensure their success in such pursuit.
