A mammoth crowd greeted the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo in Upogoro, the country home of the newly elected governor.
The elated residents who trooped out jubilating to welcome both the incumbent governor and the governor-elect expressed profound enthusiasm and heartfelt support for the two leaders.
Addressing the huge gathering, Governor Bello described Ododo as a worthy successor whose emergence in the November 11 governorship election was widely accepted.
Also in a remark, Kogi State Governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressed deep gratitude to Governor Bello who he said was a pillar of support in his journey.
Various community leaders in Ukpogoro eulogised Governor Bello for choosing a deserving son from their community to serve in his administration, and his successor to govern Kogi State.Onogwu Mohammed,Chief Press Secretary to the Governor in a statement he sent to The Reporters on Sunday evening in Lokoja.
