The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Alhaji Samari Abdulmalik, has called on the citizens of the state to ensure that the November 11, Governorship election in the state is conducted peacefully.
He made the call during the unveiling of the Ododo EBIGO Connect Campaign Office in Lokoja on Sunday while speaking with journalists.

The executive chairman, who disclosed that the Security Trust fund, had put everything in place to ensure security-free election in the state, called on the indigenes to see security as a collective responsibility.
This he said they could do by cautioning themselves against violence and preach to the youth to shun in acts capable of igniting crises which could lead to destruction of life or property.
Abdulmalik said:'” The citizens of kogi state should be conscious of security of life and property, before, during and after election.
“If you sacrifice yourself during the forthcoming election, it will not stop the state from moving.All the voters need doing for them to go and cast their votes and go back to their houses, rather engaging in any action that will spark crises.”
Abdulmalik said that though poli tics is characterized by individual or group interests, the people should know that apart from interest, there is kogi state which bound all its citizens together in the collective efforts to move the state to greater heights.
The executive chairman, who expressed optimism that APC would win the November 11, governorship election, assured that the incoming administration of APC, with people’s mandate, would continue the inclusive mantra of the Yahaya Bello which will come to an end on January 27,2024.
According to him, the Ododo administration will give a sense of belong to everybody, including the opposition, the opportunity to contribute their qota to the development of the state.
Also speaking with journalists,the Director-General of Ododo EBIGO Connect Campaign office, Mal.Abdulganiyu Okara said, EBIGO means Ebira, Igala and Okun, stressing that “it is a kogi agenda and not exclusively for one ethnic nationality in the state.
“Our aim is political mining, to ensure a better, well developed, united kogi state to ensure that the state has a developmental stride that the present and future generation would be proud of.”
According to him, the lofty idea behind the movement would not die after the governorship election , promising that it would be used to empowering youths to enable them engage in meaningful endeavors for self improvement among other benefits.
Our correspondent reports that many APC stalwarts across the three senatorial districts of the state and outside the shores of the state attended the occasion.
