Police have discovered a body in the search for missing poet Gboyega Odubanjo, who failed to arrive for a scheduled reading at the Shambala festival in Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire, on August 27.
Mr. Odubanjo, 27, was last seen at the festival around 4 a.m. on August 26.
Despite efforts to locate him, he remained missing until the discovery of the body.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police reported that the body was found during a specialized search of the area shortly before 9 a.m. on August 31.
While formal identification is pending, the man’s family has been notified, and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Gboyega Odubanjo’s family had expressed deep concern for his safety, as his disappearance was considered entirely out of character.
