“Mr.Flag man dies” at 87.

Pa.Taiwo Akinkunmi, who designed the Nigerian flag, died on Tuesday at age 87. His son, Akinkunmi Samuel, announced his death via his Facebook page.
“Life is indeed transient; I can say boldly you live a life with a landmark. Continue to rest on, my father!3 hours ago.(Punch)
According to Google,the journey toward independence led to the establishment of a national planning committee, which in 1958 called for a competition to select a national flag.
It recalls that almost 3,000 designs were submitted, many of great complexity.
The winning design was by Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, a Nigerian student in London.
