Late Kogi Governor’s son emerges as ministerial nominee.

Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, the first son of the first democratically elected Governor of Kogi State, north central Nigeria, late Prince Abubakar Audu, is among the last list of 19 ministerial nominees whose names President Ahmed Bola Tinubu sent to the Senate for screening and confirmation on Wednesday in Abuja.

Other ministerial nominees are:
Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo – Kano
HE Simon Lalong – Plateau, HE Bello Matawwalle – Zamfara
,Tunji Alausa – Lagos
HE Adegboyega Oyetola – Osun, Uba Maigari Ahmadu – Taraba, Lola Ade John – Lagos, Dr. Ishak Salako – Ogun,Sen. Heineken Lolokpobri – Bayelsa, Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu – Kebbi, Prof. Tahir Mamman – Adamawa, Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo – FCT, Sen. Ibrahim Geidam – Yobe, Dr. Bosun Tijjani – Ogun, Dr. Maryam Shetti – Kano, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi – Niger,HE Atiku Bagudu – Kebbi and Senator Alkali Ahmed Saidu – Gombe

Meanwhile,the Kogi State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP) , Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, has congratulated the state’s ministerial nominee.

Ajaka’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Director of Communication, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka Campaign Organisation,
Faruk Adejoh-Audu.

Ajaka described the nomination of Shuaibu as a fulfilment of the electoral promise, made by President Tinubu, to involve young Nigerians in his administration.

He said:“Your nomination is a glaring testimony of the commitment of His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to youth empowerment and political inclusiveness.

“Given the background, experience and antecedents of Alhaji Audu, the people Kogi State are indeed proud that one of their illustrious sons has been invited to add value to the development of the country .

“The task ahead is daunting, but we are convinced that you will excel, given your training and antecedents as a top-rate technocrat.

” We have no doubt that you will effectively discharge your duties to your fatherland and make Kogi State proud of your record of service”.
