Renovation commences at burnt kogi Assembly complex.

By correspondent in Lokoja.

Renovation works have commenced at the Kogi State House of Assembly Complex part of which was gutted by fire October 2022.

A reliable source,close to the management of the Assembly disclosed in Lokoja on Monday, that the burnt walls had been scrapped for new plasters to take place while floor tiles on stair steps, windows were being removed for new ones to be placed.

The source added that the State Government had given the contractor eight weeks to complete the renovation work.

Our correspondent the state government awarded the contract for the renovation of the complex last week in Lokoja.
