Dangote adopts 7 of 14 SDGs on environmental sustainability–Expert.

The Dangote Group of Company says it has fully engrained sustainability into all aspects of its, adopting seven out of the fourteen sustainable development goals for environmental sustainability.

Dr. Egazuema Okoreba, Sustainability Manager, Dangote Group Pan Africa, made the disclosure at a 2 day Environmental Journalism training, organized for Journalists
from Kogi, Benue, FCT, Kwara and Niger States holding at Dangote Academy, Obajana, Kogi State.

Dr. Okoroba,who urged Journalists to report beyond the finances, profit and loss accomplishments and activities of the Dangote Group, with a call on the media to always look at Environment sustainability policy put in place by the Dangote Group.

Our correspondent gathered that the workshop, organized by Dangote Group of Company, with CAMIC as Media partner, aims at strengthening and broadening the horizon of Journalists towards effective reporting the environment for sustainability.

Dr. Okoroba explained that it became necessary for Journalists to have an insight into the environmental sustainability policy of Dangote Group that meets international standards.

Dr. Okoroba Disclosed that the Dangote Group is adopting seven pillars of the SSG goals in environment sustainability, mentioned the areas to include; economy, social institution and the environment.

She mentioned other areas of intervention by the Dangote Group at ensuring environmental sustainability to include finance, operational institutions and culture, said the Group’s Environment sustainability was an initiave conceived since 2017 and 2018.
