What 2 “Journalists” do to rice dealer in Kano

The Police Command in Kano State has arrested two men, parading themselves as journalists, for allegedly defrauding a rice trader of N33,000.

The suspects:Mujahid Kabir(30) and Abba Imam(30) were alleged to have on February 2, 2023 generated fake bank transfer alert of N33,000 which they used to buy a bag of rice at a Plaza in Sharada Quarters, Kano Municipal Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, for the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement in Kano while confirming the incident, adding that the command got the report of the incident on February 2, 2023 from the Manager of the Plaza.

According to him, the manager lodged the complain that two people went to the Plaza to purchase a bag of rice at N33,000, adding that generated a fake bank transfer alert for the the purchase of the commodity.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command CP Mamman Dauda, raised and instructed a team of detectives led by SP Abdulrahim Adamu, Divisional Police Officer, Sharada Division to arrest the culprits,”the police image maker said.
