((L-R) Governor Yahaya Bello and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim.

Our Correspondent gathered that the positive development became a reality on Thursday during the Islamic burial rights of the Tafida of Ebira Land, Dr.Abdulazeez Umar Farooq in Okene.

The 94-year-old traditional ruler, who spoke in ebira language and re-eched by one of aids during the meeting that took place between him and the governor at the occasion, promised to support the Governor to ensure the success of his administration and in the interest of the Ebira nation.

The Ohinoyi, who described the governor as his “first son”,said it pleased Almighty Allah, hence He made him the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and he,Bello,as governor, therefore, the two of them should forgive each other’s wrongs and work together for the development of Ebiraland and the state in general.

The Ohinoyi noted that as his “first son”, it becomes imperative for him to let the governor know every step he takes to ensure peace and development of Ebiraland land.

According to the first class traditional ruler, the need for the two parties to settle their quarrel became necessary, for the sake of God and in honour of the late Dr.Farooq.

Responding, Bello assured that till the end of his administration, this would be the last time a rift would happen between him and the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

The Governor described the death of the renowned medical practitioner and pharmaceutical manufacturer, Dr Farooq,as a huge loss to Ebiraland, Kogi State and the nation as a whole.
