Engr. Ohere promises business grants for women,youths in kogi Central

Kogi Central senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere has promised to facilitate business grants for women and youths in the area, if given the mandate to represent the district in the Senate next month.

He made the promise while addressing the crowd at the campaign rally organized by Ohere Political Vanguard (OPV) in Okene.

He assured the women, who constitute members of over 89 thrift associations in the district, that the era of queuing and begging microfinance firms for unfavourable loans would soon be over,if emerges as their Senator.

He reiterated his willingness to actualize his campaign promise of cushioning the economic hardship facing women and youths through a robust grant empowerment that would free patronising micro financial institutions for loans

Engr. Ohere expressed delight over the action by the Asuvopengwu Women Association, adding that he had never witnessed such a display of love, especially that the rally was neither prompted nor induced monetarily.

He said credit should be given to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello who had done so much for the state.

Our Correspondent gathered that the campaign rally, organized by OPV in collaboration with Asuvopengwu Women Associations, was attended by hundreds of women from over eighty-nine groups of thrift contributors.

The women said they decided to organize the event to demonstrate their support for Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere.

They expressed satisfaction with the senatorial candidate for his tremendous support for women of Kogi Central, most especially the thrift contributors, over the years.

The coordinator of the Asuvopengwu Women Association, Hajiya Sefinat Yusuf Ateiza, reiterated the readiness of the Association to vote massively for Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere and all APC candidates in the forthcoming election.

“We have gathered here today to reassure His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, of our support for him and also in appreciation for his selfless service and support for our women.

“We will vote for Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, Hon. Tijani Mohammed Oliver (TOA) and all other APC candidates in the coming elections.

“Our permanent voters cards are intact,” she said.

Major party stakeholders and candidates, such as Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, Kogi Central Senatorial Candidate for APC, Hon. Tijani Muhammed Ozigis, APC House of Representatives Candidate for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Constituency attended the occasion.

Others are; Hon. Yusuf Zakari, APC Okene II State House of Assembly Candidate, Prince Zakari Otokiti, Okehi Constituency State House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Abubakar Suberu Adagu, DG APC Kogi Central Campaign Council, Prof. Solomon Avidime, Chairman, Ohere Political Vanguard, Hon. Abdulkareem Onyekehi, Hon. Mutari Bello and Engr. Wahab Jimoh among others.
