Renown Nigerian actor dies

The entertainment industry in Nigeria has been thrown into murning,following the death of a famous Nigerian actor, Femi Ogunrombi, fondly called Papa Ajasco.

The deceased,,described as a racked up popular entertainer, featured prominently in Wale Adenuga’s comedy series.

One of the theatre practitioners in the country, Husseini Shaibu, disclosed Papa Ajasco’s death in his Twitter handle on Sunday.

“I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with #NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular #waleadenugaprod comic series ‘Papa Ajasco’, Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead,” he wrote.

Our Correspondent gathered that
Ogunrombi took over the character, Papa Ajasco when the former character, Abiodun Ayoyinka, pulled out of the show and he carried on with the role while it lasted.
