From Willy Punvwet Lafia.

The Nasarawa state PDP gubernatorial Candidate in the forth coming general elections, Mr David Ombugadu, says only a PDP-led administration can guarantee a secured and a prosperous Nigeria devoid of Boko Haram and endless kidnapping.

Addressing party supporters at a rally in Akwanga Local Governnent Area of the state on Tuesday, Ombugadu recalled that PDP did hand over a country where economic activities were booming and Nigerians having their three square meals at ease.

He noted that things had changed otherwise since eight years of the ruling APC governnent in the country.

He, however, gave an assurance that all hope is not yet lost, adding that ” PDP is handy to the rescue, bearing in mind the wealth of experience the party’s Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar possess and being a one time Vice President of Nigeria, pointing out that “Atiku is the only person that can rescue the country from total collapse.”

According to Mr. Ombugadu, the ruling APC administration had no moral justification to seek for even a councillor ship position not to talk returning to power as either a President or governor,” bearing in mind the current collosal damage they have course the Country as a Nation.”

He said if given the mandate to serve Nasarawa state as governor, he would run an all inclusive administration by ensuring the total empowerment of both women and youths adding that students would benefit from scholarship to ease the burden of their sponsorship on their parents.

He called on Nigerians to learn from the current hardships and reject the deceitful tendency of the APC by voting the party’s candidates at all levels out in the elections.

The governorship candidate, who urged the people of the state to judge him by his performance when he represented them at the House of Representatives, promised to ensure the rapid development of the state if given the opportunity to serve as their governor.

In his brief remarks, former Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, told party supporters in the state that every body would have his or herself to blame if they get it wrong by voting for the APC again, calling on them to ” wise up.”

The PDP Chairman in the state, Mr Francis Orogu, assured the party faithful that only a PDP administration, from the Wards to the National level, could guarantee their going back to their farms without fear of molestation as well as sleep with their two eyes closed.

Former Deputy governor of the state, Mr. Mike Abdul, said recapturing power from the hand of the APC governnent “is a task that must be achieved, if the nation must come out of its current socio-economic quagmire.
