Hajj 2023:NAHCON Holds Discussions with AHUON

The Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan on Tuesday, met with leadership of Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizations in Nigeria.

Our Correspondent gathered that the meeting is coming ahead of the virtual conference to hold between Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and NAHCON in preparation for the 2023 Hajj.

The NAHCON Chairman disclosed that it was important to update members of the association, on key issues as critical stakeholders in Hajj operations.

According to him, the outcome of the meeting will determine the direction the Commission will take concerning new arrangements for 2923 pilgrimage.

He informed the executive members that the organization would be briefed on any new development and requested them to be prepared for another meeting, after the 21st December date of the virtual confab.

Responding,AHUON appreciated NAHCON’s invitation, describing it as a sign of progress.

While hoping to hear more from the Commission, AHOUN promised to support NAHCON’s preparations for the 2023 Hajj season.

The association was led at the meeting by Alhaji Nasidi Yahaya, President of AHUON.

Also present at the parley include NAHCON’s Commissioners; Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa, Commissioner, Operations; Alhaji Nura Hassan Yakassai, Commissioner, Policy, Personnel Management and Finance; Sheikh Suleman Momoh, Commissioner, Planning, Research, Statistics, Information and Library Services and NAHCON’s Secretary to the Commission, Dr Rabi’u Kontagora.

The online publication recalls thatel earlier last week, similar meeting was held with the leadership of Forum of State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.
