Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has vowed to woo investors to explore the petroleum products recently discovered in Keana Local government area of the state as well as establish salt industry in the area, inv view of its large quantity in the area.
Speaking at a campaign rally in the area, Engineer Sule also promised to bring to bear, his wealth of experience as someone who has worked for several years in various companies, to achieve these set objectives.
He said that the revenue that be accrued from these investments would not only benefit the people of Keana but the state and county as as a whole.
“Apart from providing job opportunities to a huge number of Keana youths, the two industries, if established, Will bring about rapid development in the area”, he said.
The governor,however, stressed the need for the people to ensure peace, adding that the objectives of the plans for them would not bear fruit “if there is no peaceful in the area.”
He further stressed that no investor would ever waste his huge resources in an area where such resources would be destroyed within a twinkle of an eye as result of crisis.
The governor reaffirmed his earlier promise that no flag of the party would be given to any candidate whose primary election results are being challenged in a court of law until such case is dispensed off.
He told the people of the area that he never give the party flag to any candidate of the House of Assembly candidate in the area being challenged in court, assuring that he would do that
as soon as the court finally gives it verdict.
Governor Abdullahi, therefore, advised the supporters of the two aspirants to eschew all forms of bitterness and wait for the outcome of the case.
Engineer Sule expressed joy at the large turn out of the people of the area to receive him, adding that such spirit of their determination had strengthened and encouraged him that none of their votes would go to the opposition party.
Earlier, the state APC. Chairman, Mr John Mamman, assured the large crowd that only a governor with a vast knowledge and high level of experience in industrial work like Engineer Sule could bring the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
According to him, the governor had worked in managerial level in both African petroleum AP and Dangote Companies and would ensure that the petroleum products discovered in the area would be fully explored and ensure establishment of a salt industry in the area.
The party chairman said the people of the state must give kudos to governor Sule for restoring peace in the state, adding that this gesture by the governor had brought about “bumper harvest” in the state as farmers had gone back to farms without any fear of being attacked.
Mr Mamman, who stated that for peace to continue to reign supreme in the state, there was no alternative to governor Sule called on the people of the state to turn out enmasse and vote for the governor to enable the state continue to enjoy the peace he has brought about.
In his brief remarks at the occasion, Senator Tanko Almakura,who is also seeking second term in office, told the gathering that Engineer Sule had brought about rapid development in the state and therefore deserved second term.
He advised the people to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card and get ready for next year general elections and vote only APC from the top to the bottom.
