Bello inaugurates APC women professionals council,,,,,,commends women’s efforts in nation building

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaha Bello, on Saturday inaugurated the state council of All Progressives Congress APC women professionals and praised women for their effort in children up bringing and nation building.

The governor,who was represented at the occasion by his Chief of Staff, Chief Abdulkarim Asuku Jamiu, said the nation and its citizens could not pay the women, enough gratitude,for their contribution to the social, economic and political development of the country.

Bello said,”The almighty God places so much emphasis on motherhood and the children, everybody is a product of a woman,be you a religious leader, politician and technocract, all forms of life can be traced to women.

The governor argued that while the immeasurable role of women in the process of human development and nation could not be disputable, women should, however, shun rubbing shoulders with their men counterparts, leaning on the concept of equality, to stem instances of break in matrimonial home.

He, however, told women in the state that his administration held them in high esteem, a development the governor noted contributed to the state government surpassing the the 35 per cent affirmative action in the appointment of women in his governnent.

Bello, therefore, called on women in the party to leverage on their numerical strength and influence by campaigning and galvanizing votes for the electoral victory of all APC candidates in 2023 general electíons.

In her speech, the kogi state Coordinator of All Progressives Congress APC women professionals, Hajia Rekiya Onaivo Sani, expressed the “passion and recognition” of the organization for APC with a promise that members would ensure the electoral victory of all its candidates in 2023 general elections.

Hajia Sani, who is also the Managing Director,Kogi State Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), called on members of the organization to support all women in APC, contesting for one political offices from top to bottom,by starting the campaign from homes.

Our Correspondent reports that highlights of the occasion were the inauguration of the executive of the organization and the Environment walk with the theme, “Tidy up Nigeria” which members round some streets in Lokoja to sensitise the public on the essence of healthy environment and good health.
