A businessman and philanthropist, Pharmacist Peter Iduh, has called on Igala sons and daughters to unite for the speedy development of the Igala kingdom.
He made the call after been conferred with the honorary chieftaincy titles of Ogata Ata Igala by the Ata Igala, Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, at his place in Idah.
He said the conferment of the title would make him work harder for the Igala kingdom.
Also, the immediate past National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma who was honoured with the Atama Ebule Ata Igala, appreciated the Ata Igala for deeming it fit to honour her, stressing that it would spur her to do more for the Igala nation.
Speaking, the special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Project Monitoring, John Utah, said since the Ata Igala ascended the throne a year ago, the Igala/ Bassa land had witnessed growth peace and progress.
He wished the Ata Igala many more years on the throne.
Similarly, a businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Friday Idachaba, who was also conferred with the title of Akwo-Ata Igala, said the honour bestowed on was a call for more service,saying that the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello had ensured the safety and security of lives and property assuring that he would continue to emulate the governor’s good deeds.
Some eminent personalities who were also honored at the occasion include, the immediate past Governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada, the Wife of the Governor, Hajia Rashidat Bello, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, and the Rector Kogi state polytechnic Lokoja, Doctor Salisu Ogbo among several others.
