Insecurity: Kekenapep,Okada operators risk arrest operating beyond 10.p.m in Lokoja

Any commercial motorcycle and tricycle operator in Lokoja Local Governnent Area of kogi state who operates beyond 10 p.m risks arrest and prosection.

The Chairman of the council, Alhaji. Muhammad Dan’Asabe Muhammad gave the directive during an extraordinary security meeting in Lokoja.

In the same vein,he warned that union leaders would be held responsible for any violation of the directives by their members.

The council chairman,who explained that the ban became necessary to checkmate security challenges in the local government area, assured residents of his commitment to make Lokoja secured at all times.

Muhammad, therefore, called on security agencies in the area to do all within their capacity to stamp out cultism and other crimes in the local government area.

The council chairman unveiled identification jackets for commercial tricycle and motorcycle operators in the local government area, and charged leadership of the two unions to be more proactive in the discharge of their duties.
