Exactly Nine years ago, Our brother, Uncle, Father, Grandfather and Mentor passed on to the great beyond.
We little know that morning that God was going to call your Name.
In life, We love you dearly, in death We do the same.
It broke Our hearts to loose you. You didn’t go alone, parts of Us went with You, the day God called you home, You left Us with precious 💞 memories, Your love is still Our guide.
And although We cannot see You, You’re always by Our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls Us one by one, the chain will link again.
Your journey has just begun, We don’t think of You as gone away, Your journey just begun.
Life holds so many facets, the earth is only one of them.
Our dear Uncle, know that it’s dawn on Us that you’re gone, You’re no longer here to share the bond We had together, a bond of love and care, yet something tells Us and the feeling is there that you’re watching over Us.
Now from those worldly cares You’re finally free.
We miss You so very much, Our tears couldn’t hide, yet within Our hearts, We feel You’re always by Our side.
Ever since You went away, life has not been the same, yet it comforts Us to know that one day we will meet again.
We remember those Your hard advises, they keep Us strong and unintimidated.
The life of one loved is never lost, You had the heart that cares completely, it’s influence goes on through all the lives it ever touched.
You brought a monumental development to your beloved community, Fugar, and ever since tremendous and steady progress is being recorded to make Fugar, a City of reckoning.
A light from Our globe was lost, a place is vacant in Our heart that cannot be filled.
Many things went wrong since You left.
Nigeria is in dispute, Nigeria now exist on the debts owned to other countries, Nigeria has conceded to the Fulani bandits, Nigeria is about to be recolonised by another Africa country, people are now being kidnapped for ransom, insecurity pervades everywhere, Nigeria is a failed state, the true federalism and restructuring you so much advocated is still a mirage, Nigeria has been hijacked by political hoodlums. If You were here, You would have risen to the occasion.
You were a book of study and You remained so. Your memories are legendary and lives on.
Your achievements to the development of the community remain indelible and unparalleled. You were applauded and highly appreciated by all, especially with the legendary award given to you by the Fugar Progressive Union, FPU, a socio – cultural group.
Our dear General, your memories and good works live with us and your associates, they are ever green!!!
Rest in peace of the Lord, Admiral Michael Agbavuokhai Akhigbe (GCON).
