POWA relieves Kogi flood victims with N25m relief materials

Much relieve came the way of thousands of flood victims in kogi state as the Police Officers Wives Association, POWA gave them N25 million worth of relief materials to cushion the effect of the devastating natural disaster on their plight.

Our Correspondent gathered that the relief materials were handed over to the the victims on Thursday by the President of the association,Hajia Hajara Alkali Baba, the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba.

In her brief remarks, Hajia Alkali Baba urged the leaders who received the materials on behalf of fellow internally displaced persons to share the items with fair of God and be just without denying any member.

Items donated by POWA include food items, mattresses, clothing among others.
