NUC approves 3 new undergraduate programmes for Kogi-owned university

The National Universities Commission,NUC,has granted approval for the Kogi State-owned University, Prince Abubakar Audu University,PAAU, Anyigba to establish three new undergraduate programmes with effect from 2022/23 academic session.

The new programmes are: B.NSc Nursing Science, B.Sc Pharmacology and BMLS. Medical Laboratory Science.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof.Marietu Tenuche, who disclosed this in a statement, added that the approval came on the heels of PAAU making history by becoming the first State-owned University to clinch the coveted Higher Institution Football League trophy.

She explained that the feat the university had constantly achieved was made possible by the support of Governor Yahaya Bello, noting that the institution had never had it this good, the development she described as the Bello’s “midas touch and unprecedented in the state-owned University.”

Prof.Tenuche,who expressed determination to breaking more new grounds with the support from the Gov. Bello, described the present administration in the state as one “resolutely committed to laying a solid foundation for the coming generation.”
