The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christians Life Ministry, Pastor Dr. William F Kumuyi, is in Niger state for the church’s Global Crusade commencing on Thursday at the Trade Fair complex, Minna the state capital.

Our Correspondent reports that Pastor WF Kumuyi, who arrived late Wednesday afternoon due to delayed flight from Lagos, paid private visit to former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), after a courtesy call on Governor Abubakar Sani Bello at the Government House.

The cleric, who will spend one week in Niger state held closed-door talks with his host, IBB during the ‘private visit’ which lasted for close to an hour but the subject of discussion between the two was not made known to journalists.

At Government House, Minna, Pastor Kumuyi was received on behalf of Governor Bello by the Deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmed Ketso who said that “Kumuyi’s arrival in Niger state signals an end to armed banditry in Niger state”.

The Governor expressed the hope that the visit by Pastor Kumuyi, who is in the state ahead of the 6-day global crusade in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger state chapter, would bring good tidings to the government and people of Niger state.

The Governor said: “We are happy to see you, you came to Niger state at the right time, we’re not in doubt, the fact that your coming at this auspicious occasion is going to be a blessing.

“We also believe our security situation is over by the grace of God Almighty”.

“We thank God that our biggest Daddy, Pastor W F Kumuyi has decided to visit our state, his visit will mark the end of security challenges in our state otherwise known as one of the most peaceful states in the country in the recent past”.

Governor Bello assured the cleric of the state government’s support and cooperation for the success of the crusade.

Pastor Kumuyi had earlier told Governor Bello that the aim of the visit to Niger state/crusade with the theme, ‘The God of all possibilities’, was to bless Niger state and its people beyond measures.

While praying for peace and an end to insecurity Kumuyi said, “God is able to do all things in the life of the people. God is so loving and always ready to bless his people and that is why we are confident that He will put smiles on the faces of the government and people of this state”.
