Powerful South West governor loses mother

The Governor of Ondo State in South West Nigeria, Rotimi Akeredolu,SAN, lost his mother, Lady Evangalist Grace Akeredolu.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Richard Olatunde in Ondo, the state capital revealed that the deceased died on Thursday morning at 90.

The deceased,he added, is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.

The governor’side said:“The mother of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu is dead.

“She died peacefully in her sleep early this morning. Mama was 90 years.

“She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members. Further announcements will be made by the family in due course.”

“She lived in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital until her death.”
