A former Acting Managing Director and former Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) ,Alhaji Ibrahim Mamnaga, is dead.
Mamnaga’s Senior Brother, Malam Zubairu Abdullahi, announced his demise on Thursday in Kano.
Abdullahi said the deceased fell sick on Thursday in the afternoon, and was admitted at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where he later died.
He said that Mammaga died at 62 during a brief illness, leaving
behind a wife and six children.
He was a member,Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE and Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ.
The deceased has already been buried at the Tarauni cemetery,Kano, in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
The Reporters reports that Mamnaga, who also served as Head of NAN Lagos Operations, as well as Zonal Manager, NAN, Kaduna, retired from service on April 1, 2020, at 60.
