A middle aged-man, Kehinde Ajayi, who bought a new car and invited his friend,Julius Frances as one of the guests to celebrate the new Toyota Sienna car has been killed, allegedly by the same Francis.
The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO for the Police Command in the state,SP William Ovye Aya, disclosed this to the Correspondent of The Reporters in Lokoja on Tuesday in the course of confirming the incident during a telephone interview.
According to him, the incident happened toward the end of July in Felele, a suburb of Lokoja.
According to him, the Police Command had arrested the suspects and intensified investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the murder of Ajayi.
The Command’s spokesman also told The Reporters that the family of the deceased, having waited invain to see Ajayi return to the house alive, reported the case to police as a missing person case.
This development,he added, prompted the search for the late Ajayi which led to the arrest of another suspect who took the Police investigation team to the house of the suspect.
He said in the course of police investigation,it was discovered that after killing his victim, the suspect buried him in his house,Felele, adding the police had exumed the remains of Ajayi.
The online publication gathered that some angry youths, who witnessed recovering of the body of Ajayi,attacked the house of the suspect after the body was exhumed.
