All brothels in kogi state harbouring criminals have been ordered to be closed while shanties in Lokoja, Osara, Zango, Itobe, Obajana and all other areas in the state must be removed and demolished to check insecurity in the state.

In similar vein, the state government has also banned the wearing of face mask in public places in the area to ensure proper identification of people.

The Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaha Bello, gave the order in Lokoja on Tuesday while announcing security measures during his meeting with all first and second class traditional rulers as well as local government chairmen in the state.

He urged Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Local Government Chairmen, Union leaders and security agencies to meet with tricycle and motorcycle riders for proper documentation.

Governor Bello urged all traditional rulers to guard their domain, with a view to ensuring that all the nooks and crannies of their domain remain cleansed.

The governor sympathized with the families of security personnel killed in Ajaojuta local government area of the state by gunmen recently.

He encouraged council chairmen, and security agencies to continue to do their job without fear or favour.

The Governor, however, warned all politicians in the state to be conscious of their conduct by shuning actions capable of disrupting peace and the security being enjoyed in the state.
