From Abuja.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its over five months rollover strike by another four weeks with effect from Monday, 1st August.

The President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke announced this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

According to him, the one-month extension was to give Government more time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues.

He said the decision was arrived at an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of ASUU, to review developments since NEC’s resolution to extend its roll-over strike action by another 12 weeks with effect from May 2022.
