Stakeholders hail Dangote Cement Plc for sponsoring Africa’s largest construction expo

Stakeholders in the economic development of Nigeria and beyond the shores of the country have given kudos to Dangote Cement Plc for being the major sponsor of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), the largest housing and construction expo on the continent.

The Reporters recalls that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo declared the four-day event open in Abuja.

Our Correspondent gathered that July 28, 2022 has been named as Dangote Cement Day to celebrate the contribution of the company to the development of real sector of the Nigerian economy

The spokesman of the AIHS, Mr. Festus Adebayo, who spoke with Journalists on the sideline of the event,described the philosophy of the Dangote Group as Pan African, adding that the conglomerate had presence across African countries, contributing to the development of the real sector of the continent.

“Dangote Group is an excellent partner of the AIHS. It has done very well. It’s a brand that has contributed enormously to the development of the real estate sector of the African countries,”he noted.

He stressed the need for the government and the private sector like the Dangote Group, to collaborate with a view to mitigating Nigeria’s housing deficit

He expressed optimism that when tackled, the effort would solve the menace of banditry and economic related insecurity in the country.

The spokesman commended Dangote Cement Plc for playing a major role in reversing the ills of substandard and collapsed building in the country.

The online publication reports that participants and stakeholders that visited the company’s stand at the expo also commended the Group’s industrialization and job creation stride in Africa.

According to participants,AIHS provides the platform to share competitive ideas, cutting edge innovations and influence public as well as private policies aimed at supporting real sector development in the country and the continent at large.

They noted that AIHS had become a major destination for global and local stakeholders, building and construction companies, mortgage companies, public agencies, private corporations and home seekers to learn, network, exhibit and make sales for 16 years.

Meanwhile, some of the expected speakers on Thursday, July 28,from the Dangote Cement Plc are: the Group Head, Sales and Marketing, Mr. Rabiu Umar, National Sales Director, Ms Funmi Sanni and Head, Technical Sales, Aniki Ayodeji among others.
