Kogi CP Presents cheques worth N9,800,000.00 to families of deceased officers

Families of 14 police personnel in kogi state who died in active service wiped off their tears on Thursday in Lokoja as the Commissioner in the state, CP Edward Egbuka, presented them cheques worth N9,800,000.00.

The Reporters gathered that the event, done on on behalf of Inspector General(IGP) of Police, Alkali Baba, is part of IGP’s “Family welfare Insurance” to improve the welfare of the families left behind of the deceased Police Officers and yo boost the morale of other Officers in active service.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) for the Command,SP William Ovye Aya and made available a copy to The Reporters in Lokoja on Friday.

He said the Commissioner of Police, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the IGP for assisting in reducing the hardship faced by the families of the deceased Police Officers.

According to Aya, the CP urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for the betterment of their families.

In turn, the beneficiaries also appreciated the IGP for the gesture and promised to make use of the the money for the benefits of their families.
