Kogi APC primaries,Engr. Ohere wins, Sen.Adeyemi loses

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing,Engr.Abubakar There, on Saturday, won the APC Kogi Central Senatorial district primary election with 260 votes to fly the flag of the party in the 2023 general elections.

Our Correspondent reports that Ohere defeated Barr. Ramatu Attah and Alhaji Dalhatu Sheriff who polled 13 votes and 11 votes respectively at Okene, headquarters of Okene Local Governnent Area of the state.

In the similar exercise also on the platform of APC conducted in Kabba, the headquarters of Kabba/Buni Local Governnent Area, for kogi West Senatorial district, a serving Senator for the district, Smart Adeyemi, lost to Sunday Karimi.

The Returning Officer for the Kogi West exercise, Hon. Bashir Abubakar Gegu,who announced the results in Kabba, disclosed that Karimi won the election by 288 votes while Adeyemi scored 43 votes.
