Power outage hits Lokoja, suburbs,AEDC explains cause

Mr Danladi Baba, the Area Manager Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC in kogi state, has attributed the power outage in Lokoja and its environs to the Friday evening rainfall accompanied with heavy storm.

The Area Manager,AEDC,who disclosed this in a telephone interview with the Correspondent of The Reporters an online publication in Lokoja on Saturday, however, assured the Public that everything was being done to rectify the problem and restore electricity.

Earlier in the statement Baba released to the public on the Issue, a copy of which was made available to The Reporters, he said:”
We regret to announce the present outage being experienced within Lokoja Area office due to the the rain that was associated with heavy storm which led to some major break down in our network as follows:

“Feeder 2 11kv where 5no. poles were broken and affected: Kporoka, New Market, Sarkin-Noma, Felele and down to Agbaja.

“Feeder 3 11kv where 2no. poles were broken and affected: Dunamis church area, Poly village First 200unit, Anibo quarters, commissioner quarters, Peace community, Second 200unit and 500unit.

“We are yet to ascertain what happened on feeder 1 33kv that radiates up to Koto karfe and Chikara and we are doing all we can to resolve all these within the limited period of time.

” Our apology for all the inconveniences this might have caused.”
