Recently, a wedding ceremony in Lokoja, Kogi State, was electrified in elation as a member of the traditional institution from Kwara state took to dancing floor, expressing joy for his half brother’s son’s marriage to a Kogi state indigene.

Talk of a marriage that further strengthens the age-long relationship between Kogi State and Kwara state and you be apt in your remark as indigenes of the two states were spotted dancing, dining and wining together as well exchanging pleasantries, characterised by joyous mood.

Kogi State was carved out of Kwara state on August 27,1991.
