Yuletide: Kogi CP orders water tight security

With some security breaches in Kogi State in, especially recent time, the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Idrisu Dauda Dabban, has ordered a watertight security across the State to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and New year’s celebrations.

He stated this during a conference he held with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as Divisional Police Officers, according to the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO for the Police Command in the state,DSP William Aya in a statement he made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Aya qouted his boss reiterating the Command’s level of preparedness, determination and commitment in synergy with other security agencies in ensuring adequate security of life and property in the State.

Dabban charged all the Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders, as well as Divisional Police Officers, to beef up security in their Area of Responsibilities (AOR) and ensure massive deployment of patrol Teams.

This, the CP further ordered, should be along the major highways and undercover operations to black spots, flash points and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the State and make sure that detection of crimes were prompt to serve as effective deterrent to all criminals

CP Dabban called on parents to caution their Children and wards not to fall victims of playing banger also known as Knockout, warning that anybody caught causing trouble would be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

The Commissioner also urged the good people of the State to always avail the Command with correct and useful information on the activities of criminal elements in order to curtail criminality in the state.
