APC sets for Saturday State Congress in kogi–Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State says all is set for its State Congress on Saturday, according to the State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello.

Bello made the declaration while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on the preparation for the exercise.

The Chairman, who also spoke on security arrangements for the planned congress, assured that all  security agencies had been beefed up to forstall brake down of law and order during the exercise.


He further told Journalists that delegates from across the 21 local government areas of the state had have been mobilized to participate and to ensure a hitch-free Congress.

Bello expressed optimism that the delegates would exercise their civic responsibility by voting, massively, for the candidates of their choice.

The caretaker committee chairman, who advised the party supporters to be peaceful during and after the Congress, assured them that the state government would not rest on its oars in keeping to its statutory responsibility of guarding against any breach of law.

He, therefore, warned contestants to live above board, stressing that the present administration in the state would work in accordance with the party supremacy.

Bello commended the stakeholders of the party for their “pragmatic approach”to ensuring peaceful atmosphere at all times.
