Flt. Lt.Okoronkowo Laid to rest

The remains of Late Flight Lieutenant Chinecherem Maduka Okoronkwo, has been laid to rest in Amangele, Ndielu Ugwueke Bende, Abia State amidst tears and condolences.

The Reporters recalls that Late Okoronkwo paid the supreme price on August 24, 2021 when security of NDA Kaduna was breached by criminals and was buried with full military honour.

The Commander, 14 Brigade, Brigadier-General MB Wabili, Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier-General RT. Utsaha, Commander, 211 Quick Response Group, Commodore I Ayo and members of Ugwueke community witnessed the solemn occasion.

Condoling the family, the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Maj,- Gen. Ibrahim Manu, Yusuf, advised the wife and family to be strong and be rest assured that his departure was not in vain.

The Commandant stated that God in His infinite mercy would continue to guide, provide and strengthen the family as Armed Forces would continue to support them.

In his exhortation, the presiding Pastor of Ugwueke, Pastor Samuel Ezeaku, admonished that” we should count it all joy in every situation and shouldn’t allow temptation and circumstances of any kind to weigh us down.”
