Buhari reappoints Provost, FCE, Okene

The President, Muhammadu Buhari, has reappointed Dr. Umar Hassan as the Provost of Federal College of Education, Okene, final tenure of four years to effect effect from September 26, 2021.

The Minister of Education, Mal.Adamu Adamu, made the disclosure in the letter he signed,dated August 30,2021 conveying the reappointment to Hassan, adding that the appointment “shall be under the same terms and conditions as in the first tenure.”

Adamu said the extension of the provost’s tenure was in line with the Federal Colleges of Education Act and described the provost as a seasoned researcher and erudite scholar of international repute.

He added that Dr Hassan is a man of vision and purposeful mission that has galvanized tremendous goodwill from different quarters in repositioning the College to deliver on its mandate as a first class teachers training institution in Nigeria.
