Nigeria Will Overcome Security Challenges Soon – Army Chief

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Faruk Yahaya, on Thursday, expressed optimism that Nigeria would soon overcome its security challenges.

He assured that the Nigerian Army, in synergy with oother security agencies, would ensure that the nation overcomes its security challenges.

Speaking with newsmen after visiting the Nigerian Army 22 Armoured Brigade Headquarters and the Nigerian Army College of Education in Ilorin, Kwara state, Yahaya said he was satisfied with the conduct of his men in 2 division of the Nigeria Army.

The Chief of Army Staff,who interacted with officers and men of the brigade, disclosed that he had been able to identify their challenges.

He said such challenges would be addressed in order to further motivate them to improve on efforts being made to tackle the nation’s security challenges.

The Reporters gathered that Yahaya’s visit to Ilorin was part of his traditional visit to all the army formations and units in the country.
