Suspected armed bandits invade farm,kidnap Niger APC Zone C chairman

After a short period of lull, suspected armed bandits, over the weekend,abducted the Zone ‘C’ Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger state, Mallam Aminu Bobi in Mariga Local Government Area.

Our Correspondent gathered that the suspects, who were on motorcycles invaded Mariga and abducted him in his farm, where he had gone to supervise ongoing work by labourer at about 5 p.m on Saturday.

Eye witness said that each motorcycle of the riders carried three people and shot sporadically into the air before taking hold of their target.

The gun men according to the source, did not touch any of the labourers except Mariga, adding that the kidnappers were yet to contact his family as at the time of this report.

Efforts to confirm the abduction from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Niger state command, DSP. Abiodun Wasiu, proved abortive as he did not pick his calls put across to him by our Correspondent.
