Hope rises for cps retirees, FG releases N11.82 b to pay acrue rights

Retirees of treasury funded ministries, department and agencies, MDAs, under the Contributory Ppension Dcheme, CPS, have cause to smile now. This is because the Federal Government has released N11.818 billion to pay their accrued rights.

Realnews reports that the accrued rights represent benefits for employees of Treasury Funded MDAs who worked up to June 2004, when the Pension Reform Act was introduced.

Real news gathered that the National Pension Commission, PENCOM appreciated the effort of the government at ensuring that the accrued rights arrears are cleared.
