Kogi Governor Dissolves KGIRS Interim Committee, Appoints acting chairman

The Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has approved the appointment of Yusufu Abubakar as the Acting Chairman,Kogi State Internal Revenue Service(KGSIRS).

Dr Folashade Ayoade Arike, the Secretary to the State Government(SSG), disclosed this in a statement she issued in Lokoja on Thursday.

She said that Abubarkar’s acting appointment followed the dissolution of the Interim Management of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), having completed its assignment.

According to the SSG,the appointment of former Chairman of KGIRS, Aliyu Nda Salami, has been terminated.

Arike qouted Governor Bello as thanking members of the Interim Management for their service as well as congratulating the new Acting Chairman for his appointment.

She said the appointment and termination took had taken effect.
