The Bishop, Kwara Diocese of Anglican Communion Rev. Sunday Timothy Adewole, has called on Christians in Nigeria to be hopeful despite the various challenges dedeviling the country.
He made the call in his Christmas message at Saints Barnabas cathedral church Ilorin.
The cleric,who spoke on the Nativity of Christ, said the birthday of Jesus Christ brought hope, peace, salvation and Grace added that Christian should not be double minded but remain stable in christ
He also stressed the need for Christians to be their brother’s keeper, help those in need and always give thanks to God as well as abide with the COVID-19 protocols
Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the Christian community in the state on the Christmas festive season and prayed Almighty God to make it a remarkable one for all.
The Governor in a statement urged residents of the state to observe the festivities in the spirit of “the peculiar time.”
The governor, who noted the state government and citizens had been doing their bits to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was the need for everyone to pray and work for peace, harmony and development of the state and the country at large.
He reassured citizens of his commitment to continue to be fair to all in the discharge of his duties.
